The Golden Age of the Trio SonataAlice Blankenship and her microphilharmonic Baroque ensemble on period instruments focuse in on the Trio Sonata, which was incredibly durable for the entire Baroque period, but has a kind of Golden Age in the period from 1690-1720. It crossed cultures and countries, and it was really the go-to chamber ensemble of the Baroque period.[more info]
